In accordance with the University Grants Commission (UGC) guidelines issued in October 2018, GATE Degree College follows a structured and transparent fee refund policy. This policy aims to ensure fairness and transparency when a student decides to withdraw from a program of study.
The following guidelines apply to the refund of fees for students who choose to withdraw from the program:
As per UGC guidelines, the purchase of the institutional prospectus is optional. It is the applicant's choice to buy the prospectus. All necessary information regarding the institution, courses, fees, faculty, and other relevant details is available on the college’s official website. This ensures transparency and helps applicants make an informed decision.
Fees are charged in advance only for the semester or academic year in which the student is enrolled. Collecting fees for the entire duration of the program or for multiple semesters is strictly prohibited.
If a student wishes to withdraw from the program, the following refund structure will apply, based on the time of withdrawal:
Sl. No. | Percentage of Refund | Point of Time When Notice of Withdrawal is Received |
---|---|---|
1 | 100% | 15 days or more before the formally-notified last date of admission |
2 | 90% | Less than 15 days before the formally-notified last date of admission |
3 | 80% | 15 days or less after the formally-notified last date of admission |
4 | 50% | 30 days or less, but more than 15 days, after the formally-notified last date of admission |
